This is not a legitimate offer. It is an email scam sent by cybercriminals trying to trick you into sharing your personal information.
Cybercriminals often exploit the desire for job opportunities by sending convincing emails offering easy paid jobs or internships. These fraudulent messages often request personal information, financial details, or even payment for supposed application fees or training materials.
It is crucial to remain vigilant and cautious when receiving unsolicited job offers via email. Remember, legitimate employers will never ask for sensitive information upfront or demand payment for job applications.
If you suspect an email to be a scam, refrain from clicking on any links or sharing personal information and report it immediately to is-spam@mcmaster.ca then delete the email.
